Getting Althea’s Ashes

“Althea’s Ashes” is a quest that you get when you are in Piken Square and it is quite hard to beat, as there are several high level Charr Hunters in the way. To complete the quest, you need to pick Althea’s ashes from the Charr altar. The best way to do this is:

  • Form a group with at least three people;
  • Walk all the way to the waypoint;
  • If you die, don’t return to Piken Square to recover morale or every enemy will respawn;
  • Near the altar, there will be two hunters in the top of a ladder;
  • Decide who in the group will pick the ashes;
  • The other members of the group attack the hunters, acting as a distraction;
  • When the hunters are attacking the other members, the character that will pick the ashes move to the altar;
  • Repeat the process till every member has the ashes.

The best way to target the altar is to use the “Next item” shortcut.

Locating People

When you are on an outpost, you can see NPCs on “radar” range by holding the [Alt] key. To see other people, press [Ctrl]. Also, if there is someone from the same guild as you, the guild shortname will appear in yellow.

Note: When you are in a mission or in an explorable area, holding [Alt] will show NPCs and people on your party and [Ctrl] will show enemies.

Showing Your Info

You can drop information about your character, life/energy stats, who you are attacking, etc. To do this, simply hold [Ctrl] and click on the information you want to be displayed, e.g. holding [Ctrl] and clicking on your life bar will display to your team how much life do you have; the same goes to the energy bar. Also, you can [Ctrl]+[Number] to display the use of a skill.

What is dye used for?

Just to paint your gear. It won’t affect your stats in any way.
